I offer music lessons in Kingston’s Calvin Park neighbourhood.
I’m a composer of classical contemporary music currently based in Kingston. I have a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto, where I studied composition and piano.
I have studied with some amazing teachers and I am happy to be able to pass down some of my knowledge to my students.

PIANO
I teach from absolute beginner to RCM level 10. We will focus on proper playing technique and we will develop your musicianship. My students usually follow the RCM curriculum, but we can also play pieces of your choosing – I tailor my lessons to your goals!
At my studio, you can play on my parlour grand piano. You’ll enjoy playing your pieces even more!

THEORY
If you need to take the RCM theory exams, I offer courses for level 8 rudiments, Level 9-10 Harmony, and ARCT Harmony/Counterpoint.

COMPOSITION
Learn how to write your own music! I can help you start your journey as a composer – we’ll learn how to build a melody, study how to write interesting harmony, and look at existing music through score study to help you build a great foundation for your own work.
If you’ve already tried your hand at composing, I can help you develop your voice and explore options for how to be a composer in the modern world.
